Bobbie Ruth Creed

Mrs. Bobbie Ruth Macey Creed, age 84, of Mount Airy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, March 2, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Creed was born in Surry County on May 17, 1940, to the late Thomas Henry and Elizabeth Marsh Macey. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving Mrs. Creed is her loving husband of 62 years, Wayne Creed; daughter, Debi McHone and Richard Whitley; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim Creed and Michelle, Danny Creed and Lori, Michael Creed and Sheila; grandchildren, Zane Creed, Samantha McHone, Zach Creed and Lauren, Maddie Creed, Laken Creed, Luke Creed, Billy Creed; great-grandchild, Tyree Creed; sister, Linda VonCannon; brother, William “Bill” Macey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Creed was preceded in death by her half sister, Alice Westmoreland; brothers and sister-in-law, Glenn and Barbara Macey, Wade Thomas Macey; brother-in-law, Jimmy VonCannon. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Creed Family Cemetery with Pastor Mark Mayes officiating. Per Mrs. Creed’s request, there will not be any formal visitation. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers, Paula Miranda, Nyra Holderfield, Kerry Dunn, Mary Jenkins, and Dale Williams.
