Mrs. Bobbie Dale Rose Davis, 61, of Dobson, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Davis was born October 30, 1948, in Surry County, to the late Robert Starling and Mabel Marie Boyd Rose. She was an employee with Lowes Foods for 37 years and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and always recognized by her warm and loving smile. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Reggie Davis of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Diane Marion of Mount Airy; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and David Collins of Siloam; a stepson and his wife, Shaun and Heather Davis of Lexington; two grandchildren, Cody Marion and Carson Marion, both of Mount Airy; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Brookie Bunton, Myra and Bill Oakley, and Toni and Danny Ledford, all of Mount Airy; several special nieces and nephews; and a lifetime friend, Phyllis Coble of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a brother, Gale Rose; and a brother-in-law, Gary Bunton. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 4, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dale Wallace and the Rev. David Gantt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017, or to Antioch Baptist Church, 137 Antioch Avenue, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
