Bobby "Dean" Bledsoe

Mr. Bobby Dean Bledsoe, age 72, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022.  He was born in Surry County, North Carolina on March 31, 1950, to the late Edgar Rufus Bledsoe and the late Rummell Davis Bledsoe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Hugh Bledsoe.  Dean was a member of New Home Church of Christ, and was a retired Pipe Fitter, and loved working on his farm. He  was also a veteran of the US Army. Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Barbara Harrison Bledsoe; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Mike Mebane, Tina and Brian Holloway, Crissy and Steve Doumas; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and June Barr; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several special cousins and friends.  A Celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM December 10, 2022, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the New Home Church of Christ Cemetery, with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard Mount Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436.  Preacher Steven Wriston, Pastor Tim Collins, and Brother Tim Smith will officiate the services.  There will be no visitation held, the family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Surry County Veterans Council, Attn: Teresa McCrary, 1218 State Street, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Bledsoe family.
