Bobby Carroll Carpenter

Mr. Bobby Carroll Carpenter, age 83, of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy. He was born on December 19, 1941 in Oconee County, South Carolina, to the late Roy Lee and Lilly Geneva Holliday Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter was a retired Aviation Mechanic with U.S. Airways in Winston-Salem and proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Mary Ware Carpenter; daughter, Jeanne Bradley; stepdaughter, Pamela Barnes (Richard), stepsons, Robert Lapointe (Margarete), Michael Lapointe; grandchildren, Bethany Bradley, Tiffany Lapointe; sister, Joy Hunter (Billy); brother, Donny Carpenter (Pamela). In addition to his parents Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Carpenter. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with service conducted by Rev. Richard Lowman. Military Honors by VFW Post 2019 of Mount Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. Private interment at Skyline Memory Gardens.
