Bobby J Cecil

Mr. Bobby J. Cecil age 65 of 608 Merritt Street, Mt. Airy, NC husband of Mrs. Brenda Ann Hooker Cecil passed away Sunday morning, December 23, 2007 at his home. He was born September 17, 1942 in Grayson County, VA to the late Garnett and Nell Allred Cecil. He was a retired welder and was a member of Holy Cross Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Ann Hooker Cecil of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Jay and Connie Cecil, Tim and Doris Cecil all of Mt. Airy, four grandchildren, Michea Cecil, Amanda Cecil, Cody Cecil and Tia Cecil all of Mt. Airy, four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Nancy and Lester Surratt, Bassett, VA, Ritha Ramey, Mt. Airy, Tina and Calvin Moxley, South Carolina and Sue and Neil Easter, Mt. Airy, a brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Ila Cecil, Mt. Airy and a "special pet" Cocoa. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cecil was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Cecil. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Holy Cross Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Michael Combs, Rev. Sam Holder and Rev. Butch Holder. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Tuesday night at Holy Cross Baptist Church where his body will be placed Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 PM to remain there until the hour of the service.
