Bobby Lee Hawks

Mr. Bobby Lee Hawks, 78, of Mt. Airy, passed away at his home Tuesday, December 8, 2020.  He was born in Carroll County, Virginia, October 17, 1942, to the late Albert Fred Hawks and Virginia Faye Edwards Hawks.  Mr. Hawks is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Barbara Hawks, Michael and Lisa Hawks; grandchildren, Heather Hawks and husband, Rocky, Savannah Rutt and husband Danny, and Chayton Hawks; great-grandchildren, Zakaya Hawks and Zayden Hawks; a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Ralph Holder; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Hawks was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Sue Chaney Hawks; a sister, Faye Rippey; and brothers, Fred and Mack Hawks.  In respect of the health concerns and restrictions at this time, there will be a graveside service held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Spurlin officiating.  There will not be any formal visitation at the funeral home.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
