Bobby Rex Joyce

Mr. Bobby Rex Joyce, 58, of Pilot Mountain passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday July 7, 2009, after an extended illness, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Forsyth County on March 3, 1951 to Bobby Ray and Lillian Brinkley Joyce and attended the Church of Corinth. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of thirty-five years, Mrs. Hilda Faye Collins Joyce of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Ginger Lynn and Monty Dean Puckett of Mount Airy; a son, Barry Ray Joyce of the home; his parents, Bobby Ray and Lillian Brinkley Joyce of Pilot Mountain; a granddaughter, Allison Renee' Puckett, two grandsons whom are both stationed in Iraq Spc E-4 Preston and wife Nora Stevens and Spc E-4 Cody Adam and wife Britteny Stevens; two great grandchildren, Tyler Adam Stevens and Evelyn Dawn Stevens; two step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; his special pet and companion, "Spike". Mr. Joyce was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jesse and Bertie Brinkley and his paternal grandparents, Fletcher David and Vallie Watson Joyce. His funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday July 11, 2009 at the Church of Corinth on Pratt Road by Rev. Clayton Tilley, Rev. Phil Goins and Rev. Tony McCann with burial to follow in Pilot Mountain City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:30 until the hour of the service.
