Bobby Joe Shinault

Rev. Bobby Joe Shinault, 84, of Mt. Airy went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy.  He was born in Wythe County on December 10, 1937, to the late Henry and Roxie Dalton Shinault.  Rev. Shinault preached the gospel of Jesus Christ for many years.  He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Hamm Shinault; a daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Kenny Young; sons and daughter-in-law, Edward “Sparky” Shinault, Michael Shinault, Eric and Lorie Shinault; grandchildren, Cody Bullins, Corbin and Savannah Bullins, Isaac Shinault, Sydney Shinault; great grandchildren, Kaylee Bullins, and Karrington Bullins; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Rev. Shinault was preceded in death by brothers, Bill Shinault, Cuby Shinault, Raymond Shinault, Don Shinault, Roy Shinault, and June Shinault.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Church of God of Prophecy in Mt. Airy with the Rev. Tommy Bailey, and the Rev. Junior Ferguson officiating.  Burial will follow in Church of God of Prophecy in Fries, VA.  The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the church.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
