Bobby Dean Simpson

Mr. Bobby "Dean" Simpson, age 60, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away at his home on Saturday July 17, 2021. He was born in Surry County to JoAnn Carpenter Simpson, and to the late James Ray Simpson. He was retired from North Department of Transportation, and of the Baptist Faith. Surviving is his wife JoAnn East Simpson; sons and daughters-in-law, Davie and Rhonda Simpson, Adam and Jessica Simpson; mother JoAnn Carpenter Simpson; mother of his Children, Pamela Simpson; grandchildren, Brianna Simmons, Zach Forrest, Joanna Atkins, Hannah Forrest, T.J. Atkins, Hagan Simpson, Wesan Simpson; great-grandchild, Kayden Fulton; sisters and brother-in-law, Nancy and Harry Holyfield, Jean “ his twin sister” and Luke Spencer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sammy and Christi Simpson, Ramey and Alicia Simpson; brother-in-law Jimmy East. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday July 21, 2021, at New Home Church of Christ, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Brother Tim Smith will officiate the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM.
