Bobby Eugene Thompson

Mr. Bobby Eugene Thompson, 90 of Mount Airy passed away, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  Mr. Thompson was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, to the late William Stuart and Essie Coble Thompson.  Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  Bobby spent most of his life as a mechanic. He also loved to fish and riding motorcycles along with the passion for steam locomotives.  Left to cherish his memories are his son-in-law, Lewis Junior Davis, grandchildren and spouses, Kaysa Wilmoth and Bobby, Richard Davis and Mandy, and Sarah Leftwich; great-grandchildren and spouse, Joshua Wilmoth, Justin Wilmoth, Jacob Wilmoth and Ashlin, Isaac Davis, Katelin Davis, Casey Davis; great great-granddaughter, Willow Bell Wilmoth and Baby Wilmoth (due in June); two sisters, Joyce Thompson, Betty Crowe; and one brother Butch Thompson.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Bell Nichols Thompson, and one daughter Tamara Alene Thompson Davis.  A graveside service will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the White Plains Friends Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Davis officiating.
