Bobby George Wood

Mr. Bobby George Wood, 66, husband of Mrs. Polly Cox Wood, of King, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Surry County on January 29, 1942 to the late Bill and Vertie Hamlin Wood. Mr. Wood worked for the Surry County School Maintenance Department and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Polly Cox Wood of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Chris Duggins of King; two sons Chad Wood of Dobson and Dean Wood of King; six grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Geraldine Wood of Dobson. There will be a receiving of friends on Saturday, January 10, 2009 from 12:30 until 2 pm in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home and a family graveside service at a later date. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Bobby Wood Funeral Fund, c/o Moody-Davis Funeral Home PO Box 295 Dobson, NC 27017.
