Bonita Sue Hardy Wishon Durham

Mrs. Bonita Sue Hardy Wishon Durham, age 67, of Elkin, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born December 18, 1954, in Yadkin County to the late Roger and Annie Lee Barker Hardy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, J.E. Wishon. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Charles Leonard Durham Sr.; stepson, Charles Leonard “Chip” Durham Jr. and Becky Durham; grandchildren, Jordan (Megan) Durham and Madison (Ryan) Martin; great grandchildren, Lucas Durham, and Willow Martin; step great grandchildren, Katelyn Kennedy, Ally Kennedy, and Erin Kennedy; sisters, Kathy Hardy andRalph Holt and Janice and Donald “Petie” Davis; and nephew, Donald G. Davis, Jr. Mrs. Durham was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and  had worked as a receptionist.  Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2022, from 6-8 P.M. at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Gum Orchard Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Lambert and Rev. James Hobernicht officiating. Burial will be in the Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 1602 Cool Springs Road, Elkin NC 28621. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Durham Family.
