Bonita Ann Hull

Ms. Bonita Ann Brickell Hull, 75, of Mt. Airy passed away at her home surrounded by her family Monday, August 26, 2019.  She was born in Surry County August 30, 1943 to the late Rufus Thomas Brickell, Sr. and Mabel “Nannie” Alene Amburn Brickell.  Ms. Hull retired from Proctor-Silex after 33 years of service.  She was a member of Ivy Green Baptist Church and a member of the Pine Ridge Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  Ms. Hull was a loving mother, sister and friend.  She enjoyed life and felt truly blessed to spend time with family and friends, especially when she had the opportunity to cook for them.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amy Hull Linville and Eric; her son and daughter-in-law, Tracey Wayne Hull and Virgie; grandchildren and spouses, Mackenzie Cockerham, Tanner Bowman, Taylor Cockerham, Hope and Mason Bowman, Olivia Cockerham, and Santana Hull; step-grandchildren, Niki and Kimmy Guckian, Therman and Mariah Largen, and Greg Linville; six step great-grandchildren; a sister Teresa Brickell and Denise Stanfield; brothers, Tommy and Janice Brickell and Teddy Brickell and Judy Bingman; a special cousin, Brenda Kay “Red” Richardson; special friends, Annette Booker Wight, Evelyn King, Lisa Phipps, and the many children she loved and cared for over the years.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 30, 2019  at Moody Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Holder, Rev. Sam Holder and Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow at Ivy Green Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening August 29, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home at Mt.
