Bonnie Sue Ashburn

Ms. Bonnie Sue Eldridge Ashburn, age 76, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away on Tuesday evening May 14, 2019, at her home.  She was born in McDowell County, WV on February 7, 1943, to the late Garland and Helen Sessor Eldridge.  She was a member of Pine Hill Friends Meeting and was a knitter.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Shelby and Geraldine; six brothers, Robert, George, Ralph, Junior, Eugene, and Johnny; two grandsons, Justin Duncan and Johnny Hardy Jr.  Surviving is her three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Kahled Abdelwahab, Shirley and Johnny Hardy, Sandra and Bill Jones; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Rhonda Ashburn; ten grandchildren, Zachary Ashburn, Ashley Collins, Jamie Foster, Timothy Hardy, Ronnie Needham, Bonnie Hill, Tiffany Needham, Jennifer Davis, Christy Davis, Jason Davis; nine great-grandchildren, Maverick Collins, Kathrine Collins, Garrett Duncan, Payton Duncan, Charity Hardy, Madi Hardy, Ellie Hardy, Elian Hardy, Sadie Hill; sisters, Rosetta, Barbara, Patricia; brothers, Donald, Sherman, Gary, Nathan.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 18, 2019, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Pine Hill Friends Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
