Bonnie Gentry

Mrs. Bonnie Lou Finney Gentry, age 79, of Elkin, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021. She was born July 21, 1941, in Yadkin County to the late Robert Ernest Finney and the late Willie Marie Colvard Finney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty one years, Braxter Lee Gentry; grandparents, Carrie Finney and Jeff Colvard and Caldonia Martin and Elbert Finney; sister, Mozelle Johnson; brothers, Fred, Grady James Daniel (JD) Finney; and her niece, Patricia Johnson Simpson and nephew, Seth. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Jill Susan and Donald Calhoun; brothers and sisters-in-law Junior and Peggy Finney and Paul and Anna Finney; and several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Evelyn Finney. Bonnie was a graduate of Jonesville High School, Class of 1959 She worked at Washington Mills in Dobson and was co- owner with her husband Braxter, of Piedmont Accounting Service in Elkin Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, June 23,2021 at 2:00 P.M. in Crestwood Memorial Gardens in Elkin with Rev.
