Bonnie Simpson Hardy

Bonnie Simpson Hardy born March 17, 1941, to Irene and Chester Simpson, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Wednesday, July 13, 2022.  Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, Grammy, and a teacher of many in the nursing field.  Surviving are her husband John D. Hardy of Siloam, daughter in law Anne Hardy of Mount Airy, a granddaughter Megan Hardy and Jesse Helms of Mount Airy, a grandson John B. Hardy and Carson Burleson of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, a sister in law Sarah Simpson of Mount Airy, and a niece Paula Simpson of Boonville.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by her brother Ronnie Simpson and her son John Michael Hardy.  A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 17, at 4:00 PM, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with the Reverends Scott Coleson and Dennis Bledsoe officiating.  Burial will follow at Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 16, from 6:00-8:00, at Moody’s.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Suite 101, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
