Bonnie Estes Noel

Ms. Bonnie Estes Noel, 56, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008 at her home. Ms. Noel was born in Surry County, November 25, 1951 to William Melvin and Ruby Elizabeth Gardner Estes. She was employed at Hanes Brands and was a member of Franklin Heights United Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, Brian Thomas of Lowgap; Kevin Thomas of Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma; Kyle Thomas of the United States Marines stationed in Iraq; a grandson, Bryce Koray Thomas; sisters, Susan Cantrell of Pinnacle; Patricia McHone of Mt. Airy; and Gaye Rollins of Greensboro. In addition to her parents, Ms. Noel was preceded in death by a brother, Wallace (Monk) Estes. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Franklin Heights United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Bruce Johnson. Burial will follow in Maple Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at Moody Funeral Home. Ms. Noel will be taken to the church to lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service.
