Eva Marie (Beck) Steele

Mrs. Eva Marie Beck Sprinkle Steele, age 85, of Ararat, NC passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at the home of her daughter Joyce Steele.  She was born in Surry County on May 15, 1936, to the late Joe and Ethel O’Neal Beck.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are daughters and son-in-law, Joyce Steele of Ararat, NC, Carolyn and Frank Edwards of Westfield, NC; grandchildren, Sampson Steele of Ararat, NC, Victoria Steele of Ararat, NC, Craig Williams and wife Lauren of Eglin, Florida, Stewart Stanley of Westfield, NC, Kory Sprinkle of Ararat, NC; eleven great-grandchildren; she was also awaiting the arrival of a great-great grandchild; sisters and brother-in-law, Lucille Crissman, Jannie and Junior Crissman.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Steele was preceded in death by her first husband Leonard Ray Sprinkle; second husband, Fred R. Steele; sons, Kenneth Ray Sprinkle, Jimmy Ray Sprinkle; grandchild, Remington Steele; sisters, Annie Bryant, Betty Fuller, Margie Baker; brothers, Howard, Elmer, Paul, John D, A.C, and Jacob Beck.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Pastor Brian Pack.  Burial will follow in Whitaker Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
