Mrs. Brenda Gayle Knowles Blake, age 59 of Talbott, Tennessee, and formerly of Patrick County, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Jefferson City, Tennessee.  She was born in Danville, Virginia to Pat and Barbara Knowles of Meadows of Dan.  Mrs. Blake was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George M. and Nannie Bell Adkins; paternal grandparents, David Early and Louemma Knowles; a niece, Makenzie Mayhew; a nephew, Jerry Knowles; a brother-in-law, Scott Blake; an uncle, John Blake; aunts, Judy Sowards and Diane Blake.  She loved her dogs, all seven of them, and enjoyed working in her flowers, gardening and canning.         In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blake is survived by her husband, Matthew Blake of the home; a son, Gary Andrew Bowman of Pennsylvania; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Darlene Knowles of Meadows of Dan; a sister and brother-in-law, Judi and Tommy Mayhew of Norfolk; nieces and nephews, David Knowles (Jessica), Joshua Bowman, Nicholas Bowman, Katie Mayhew, and nine other nieces and nephews.         A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Knowles-Eden Cemetery with Pastor Dale Belcher officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any S.P.C.A near the donor.  Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements, and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
