Brenda Gayle Thomas Dollyhigh

Ms. Brenda Gayle Thomas Dollyhigh, 74, of Claudville, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 12, 2022.  Ms. Dollyhigh was born March 23, 1948, in Surry County, to the late William Churchill and Janice Elaine Simmons Thomas.  Brenda served several years as postmaster of the White Plains Post Office and was very proud of her work serving the community.  She was a devoted mother, sister, and friend.  Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Mikki and Stephen McCraw; a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Ronnie Binkley; and the Richard King family.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Dollyhigh was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Edward Dollyhigh; a son, Wayne Edward “Sonny” Dollyhigh, II; and her fiancé, Richard King.  The family will conduct a memorial service at a later date to celebrate her life.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
