Brenda Gay Eaton

Mrs. Brenda Gay Harrell   Eaton, 70, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at her home.  She was born in Surry County on July 12, 1953, to the late Joe and Alice Fulk Harrell.  Mrs. Eaton was a loving homemaker who will be dearly missed.  She is survived by her husband, John Eaton; a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Michael Petty; sons, Donald Burkhart, Dale Burkhart; two stepsons, Johnny Eaton, James Eaton; seven grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Gary Smith; a brother, Johnny Harrell; many nieces and nephews.   In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eaton was preceded in death by her first husband, Lonnie Burkhart; a son, Jason Burkhart; sisters, Mary Ann Harrell, Robin Crigger; brothers, Coy Harrell, and TJ Harrell.  A graveside service will be held Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Korners Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Crotts officiating.   There will not be a formal visitation.   Moody Funeral Services is serving the Eaton family.
