Brenda Joyce Goins

Mrs. Brenda Joyce Bowman Goins, 75, of Pilot Mountain passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  She was born in McDowell County, WV, December 1, 1946, to the late Harvey Leslie Bowman and Ollie Mae “Goldie” Lankford Bowman.  Mrs. Goins worked at Pine State for several years and was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church for over 40 years.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.  Mrs. Goins is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky Stone, Tammy Rogers and Anthony; a son, Dennis Goins; grandchildren and spouses, Tasha Lawson and Joshua, Terry Stone, Jr., Amber Stone, Jacob Rogers and Amber, Adam Rogers; great-grandchildren, Carter, Corbin, Camden, Chloe, Oxley, Tristan, Isabella, and Aaron; sisters, Delores Clontz, Jane Dalton and Donnie, Eloise Burnette and Barry, Patricia Alderman and Bill; brothers, Dewey and Wayne Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goins was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Tommy Goins; daughter Kathy Goins; brothers, Danny and Kenny Bowman, and an infant brother Michael Bowman.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Carter’s Chapel-Goins Family Cemetery.  There will not be any formal visitation at the funeral home.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
