Brenda Lee Kiger

Mrs. Brenda Lee Kiger, 76, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Surry Community Health and Rehab Center in Mt. Airy.  She was born on February 21, 1944 to the late Omar D. and Lola M. Collins Kiger.  She is survived by her husband, Jack E. Venable; a daughter, Lee Ann Vaughn and husband, Chris; a son Mitch McPhetridge and wife, Anna; a brother Joel Kiger and wife, Martha; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kiger was preceded in death by a daughter, Myra Brim; a son, Tony Kiger; and a sister Dolores LeFever.  There will not be any formal visitation or services at this time. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
