Brenda Ann Sidden

Mrs. Brenda Ann (Kay) Payne Sidden, 70 of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her family.  Mrs. Sidden was born in Patrick County, Virginia, to the late James Monroe and Claudia Marie Sutphin Payne.  Mrs. Sidden was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all that will be deeply missed.  Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 22 years, Danny Lee Sidden of the home; daughter Christie Michele East; son and daughter-in-law Jonathan Ray Strickland and wife Brandy; step daughter Patsy Johnson and stepson and daughter-in-law, Ray Junior Strickland and wife Julie; grandchildren Tryston Grey Strickland; sisters and brothers -in-law, Ruby Colvin and husband Rick, Linda Smith, Sue Dellenback and husband Eddie, Judy Ann Keith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alvin Payne and wife Ruth, Dempsey Payne and wife Mary Alice, Kenneth Payne and wife June and Calvin Payne and wife Vickie; special sister-in-law, Phyllis Stinson; special niece Melissa Joyce, along with many other nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11:00 am at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. Rev. Barry Wayne Wood will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 until time of the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Moody Funeral Services is serving the family.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mountain Valley Hospice staff for their caring support.
