Brenda Frances Shelton Watts

Mrs. Brenda Frances Shelton Watts, 67, of 1125 Fowler Road, Mount Airy, passed away Friday afternoon, March 13, 2015, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Watts was born May 13, 1947, in Georgia, the only child born to the late Willie and Marie Allred Shelton. Brenda retired as a teaching assistant at Franklin Elementary School after 30 years of service and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas Michael "Tom" Watts, Sr. of the home; a daughter, Angie Michelle Watts of Chapel Hill; and a son, Thomas Michael Watts, Jr. of Mount Airy. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Dale Wallace, the Rev. Rusty Reed, and Brookie Bunton officiating. Entombment will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
