Brenda Smith Wright

Mrs. Brenda Smith Wright, 59, of Mount Airy, went home to glory from the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson on Monday morning, November 8, 2010. Mrs. Wright was born December 18, 1950, in Stokes County. Mrs. Wright was retired from the auto industry and was a member of the King Community Church. Surviving are a daughter, Angela Douglas; three sons, Joey Rutledge, Jason Rutledge, and Timothy Wright; a sister and brother-in-law, Eileene and Clyde Brooks of McGrady; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred Smith, Jr. and Pat Smith of Thomasville; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Jack and Jean Moser of King, Joseph and Arlene Smith of Stokes County, Leigh Anne Robertson of Mount Airy, and Debbie Robertson of Mount Airy; and two beloved dogs, Snuggles and Cuddles. In addition, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Wright; and her special pet, Princess. The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 11, 2010, at 11:00 AM at King Community Church, with speakers Leigh Anne Robertson and Debbie Robertson, Chaplain Todd Byrd, and soloist Sandra Richards. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
