Brent Snow

Mr. Brent Snow, 70, of Dobson, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born October 18, 1940, in Surry County, to the late Jared Ralph and Annie Lee Burris Snow. An avid sports fan, Mr. Snow retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a dedicated member of Double Creek Church of Christ. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 40 years, Alice Faye Martin Snow of the home; a daughter, Kathy Snow Bottoms of Dobson; a son, Darrell Snow of Dobson; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Bottoms, Dallas Snow, and Dan Snow; two sisters, Linda Atkins of Pilot Mountain and Janice Brown of Dobson; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Kent Snow of Dobson and Rusty and Sharon Snow of Germanton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Snow was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy McHone Snow; and a brother, David Snow. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Double Creek Church of Christ, with the Rev. Roger Sickmiller and the Rev. John Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home, where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.
