Bronna Moran

Mrs. Brona Lou Nixon Moran, age 86, of Mt. Airy, passed away at her home on Monday, February 15, 2021.  She was born in Surry County on April 22, 1934 to the late John Nixon and Ruby Priddy Nixon. She was of the Primitive Baptist Faith, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Debra (Debbie) Eldridge, Terri Dashney and fiancé Kelly Eubanks;  a son Danny Moran and fiancé Janie Stone; grandchildren,  Shannon Tyler, Adam Eldridge, Anthony Baca, Ashley King, Molly Dashney as well as eight great-grandchildren as well as a special cousin, Carolyn Genasci. In addition to her parents Mrs. Moran was preceded in death by her husband James Weldon Moran.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Dr. Jonathan Casstevens.  Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.  For those wishing to pay their respects you may do so on Thursday between the hours 10:30 AM-5:00 PM.  The family would like to say a special thanks to Joan of Home Instead and to Mountain Valley Hospice for the care given during their mother’s illness.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
