Bruce Edwin Harold

Mr. Bruce Edwin Harold, 85, of Ararat, Virginia, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 2, 2021, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. Mr. Harold was born March 22, 1936, in Patrick County, Virginia to the late Martin Fulmer Harold and Lora Agnes Puckett Harold. Bruce proudly served our country in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. Bruce was a self-employed orchardist in the Ararat community for many years and was a faithful member of Willis Gap Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memories are a son, Ronnie Edwin Harold; two brothers, M. C. Harold and H. C. Harold; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Edna Frances Wilson Harold; and an infant brother, Woodrow Harold. The funeral service will be held Monday, December 6, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, North Carolina with the Reverend Josh Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens with military honors by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard Mount Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Harold family.
