Bruce Lewis Jr.

Mr. Bruce Lewis Jr., age 77 of Ararat, NC passed away Tuesday July 13, 2021, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC. He was born in Davidson County on December 1, 1943, to the late Bruce Lewis Sr. and to Viola Frances Brigman.  He was a retired Truck Driver, for Southland, and was a veteran of the US Navy.  Surviving is his two daughters, Carrie Gooden, Hannah Lewis; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jenita Stafford; grandchildren, Kristi Wetherspoon, Gracie Hampton, Megan Rash, Jesse Rash, Jessa May Stafford, Samantha Gooden, Dalton Gooden; mother of his children, Sharon Stafford; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Triplett, Sharon Bumgarner; two brothers, David Lewis, Kenneth Lewis.  A graveside service will be held in the Rowan National Cemetery, in Salisbury, NC on Tuesday July 20, 2021, at 2:00 PM. His burial will follow the service.  There will be no formal services held at the funeral home.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Lewis family.
