Buddy Norman Gallimore

Mr. Buddy Norman Gallimore, age 86, of Mt. Airy, NC, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.  He was born in Carroll County, Virginia, on January 27, 1937, to the late Norman Estel Gallimore and the late Lizzie Mae Melton Gallimore.  Mr. Gallimore managed the radio station in Dobson for several years and was a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gallimore; sisters, Nell Fortner, Betty Sizemore, Virginia Mae Mansfield, Ruth Lowe, Colene Hodges; and his brothers, Roy Gallimore and Troy Gallimore.  Surviving are his brothers, Thomas “June” Gallimore and Billy Gallimore; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Rocky Ford Baptist Church by the Rev. Claude Lloyd.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church starting at 1:00 pm.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Gallimore family.
