C. Terry Merritt, II

Mr. C. Terry Merritt, II, age 60 of Mt. Airy, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at his home. He was born in Alexandria, VA on August 28, 1961, to the late Charles T. Merritt and Nannie Ruth Cobbler Merritt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Priddy.

Terry, more popularly know as “Dr. T” was a veteran of the US ARMY, owner and operator of Fleshtones Productions where he lived out his legacy of helping others. His passion was for the art of tattoos, spreading the word through his bible studies and was even known for his craft coffees he made at his shop. Terry was also an innovator, he had a creative mind and was always coming up with the next greatest invention. Live your life so selflessly that you leave behind a legacy!!!! Until we meet again. Surviving is a daughter, Tiffany Lawson and fiancé, Cory Horsley of Lawsonville, NC; six grandchildren, Tiegan Horsley, Chames Lawson, Angelisa Lawson, Paxton Lawson, Blaze Lawson, Tanner Horsley; two sisters, Lynn Boles of Lawsonville, NC, Darla Merritt of Stuart; several nieces and nephews and a special god child, Charli Hawks.
