Calvin Danny Vaughn

Mr. Calvin Danny Vaughn, 55, of 630 Willow Street, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Vaughn was born September 14, 1955, in Surry County, son of the late Harvey Washington and Nancy Myrtle McCraw Vaughn. He was the former owner and operator of A+ Computer Services. Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Vaughn of Mount Airy; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Anthony Vaughn of Mount Airy and Richard and Corrine Vaughn of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Anthony Vaughn, Jr., Jason Vaughn, Blaze Hodges, Tristan Vaughn, and Parker Vaughn; his fiancée, Phyllis Arrington of the home; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Lettie and Jimmy Heath and Lorraine Heath, all of Mount Airy, Pat and Larry Liss of Reidsville, and Mildred and Jimmy Ratliff and Alma Reekes, all of Colonial Heights, VA; and four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Herman and Karen Vaughn and Thurmond and Jeanette Vaughn, all of Mount Airy, Melvin and Mary Vaughn of Perry, FL, and Elvin Vaughn of Cana, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Creed and Imogene Stevens; and a brother, Carl Vaughn. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011, at 4:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Jimmy McCraw, Gregg Hawks, and Bobby Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
