Candis Swicegood

Ms. Candis Ann Kirkman Swicegood, 59, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in Surry County.  She was born in Cleveland County on February 16, 1962 to the late, Charles and Lynda Barnes Kirkman.  Candis had a gentle soul and a kind heart.  She loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world.  She was always looking for a way to help others, and will be deeply missed.  Ms. Swicegood was a precious daughter, loving mother, loyal sister, wonderful grandmother, and true friend.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brianna and Nicholas Todd; sons, Charles “Cody” Swicegood, and Trey Overby; grandchildren, Eleia Mayes, Luke Mayes, Haley Todd, and Brody Todd; sisters and brother-in-law, Ginger “Kirkman” and Bill Werner, Pepper Kirkman Mayes, and Robin Osborne; many nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
