Carl Odell Goins

Mr. Carl Odell Goins, age 77, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living in Mt Airy.  He was born in Surry on June 20, 1941 to the late Harmie Lee Tucker Goins and Mary Jane Goins Goins.  Mr. Goins was a retired farmer, and a member of Victory Baptist Church.  He is survived by a daughter, Wennia Goins Harrell; a grandchild, Roger Lee Harrell, Jr. and fiancée Cassidy Stevens; a great-grandchild, Lilee Rae Harrell; nieces, Cynthia and Jimmy Vipperman, Sarah and Rockey Tickles; a nephew, Matthew Goins; a beloved first cousin, Charles Goins .  In addition to his parents, Mr. Goins was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Goins, and Barbara Goins; a brother, A. L. Goins.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM at State Line Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 until 1:15 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
