Carl Harris "Putter" Mosley

Mr. Carl Harris “Putter” Mosley, Jr., 76, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, March 04, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Wiscoal, KY on September 17, 1941 to the late Carl Harris Mosley, Sr. and Sophia Allen Gilbert. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rodney Mosley, and Todd and Tammy Mosley; a daughter, Misty Scritchfield Thurmon, another son, Anthony Scritchfield; five grandchildren, Cory Mosley and wife Lindsey, Haven Mosley, Jessie Mosley, Sydney Mosley, and Dillon Mosley; another grandchild, Austin Scritchfield; two great-grandchildren, Sophia Simmons and Willa Mosley; three more great-grandchildren, Kyle, Seth, and Lana; a sister, Jo Ella Winkler; a sister-in-law, Diane Mosley; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by an infant son, Carl Randall Mosley; a sister, Virgil Ann Willett; a brother, Guy Mosley; his step-father, Charles Franklin Gilbert; and a brother-in-law, Richard Winkler. Mr. Mosley requested that there be no formal services. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at the Woltz Hospice Home for their compassionate care and loving service.
