Carlie Mounce

Mr. Carlie Roger Mounce, age 79, of Elkin, NC passed away on Thursday evening, June 3, 2021, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Surry County on May 17, 1942, to the late Carmel Vance Mounce and the late Alma Hardy Mounce.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Senia Mounce Hall.  Surviving is his wife, Rita Bringar Mounce; daughter and son-in-law Tonya and Nick Butler; son, Jeff Mounce and Stephanie Shaver; grandchildren, Wesley Mounce, William Mounce, Bethany Butler, Breanna Butler, Brett Butler, Brittany Butler; sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Don Newman.  There will be no formal services held at the funeral home, Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Mounce family.
