Carol Anne Lewis Doss

Mrs. Carol Anne Lewis Doss, 75, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday night, January 31, 2023, at her home.  Mrs. Doss was born May 18, 1947, in Washington County, VT, the daughter of the late Alvin Alfred and Lura Asenath White Lewis.  Carol worked as a nursing assistant for many years and later retired as an administrative assistant from First Horizon Bank.  She was a Christian and a member of River of Life Community Church.  She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lisa Anne King and Kevin Furrow, Debbie Kaye and Scottie Johnson, and Cheryl Sue and Juan Perez; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian Scott and Joyce Puckett; three stepchildren and their spouses, Angela and Frank Paim, Timothy and Joan Doss, and Jon Doss; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve Allen and Dianne Lewis; and three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary and Linda Doss, Ronnie and Kaye Doss, and Pansy and Cecil Wheeling.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Doss was preceded in death by her husband, Artis Arthur Doss; and a granddaughter, Michelle Reeves.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 1:00 PM at River of Life Community Church, with the Rev. Dud Spencer and the Rev. Adam Collins officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  A private inurnment will take place at Skyline Memory Gardens at a later date.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Suite 101, Mount Airy, NC  27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
