Carolyn Sue Wright Atkins

Mrs. Carolyn Sue Wright Atkins, 58, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital.  Mrs. Atkins was born October 2, 1963, in Forsyth County, to the late Dennis and Virginia Wood Wright.  Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Daryl Junior Atkins; a daughter, Jennifer Duncan Marshall and her husband, Chad; two sons, Kevin Haynes and his wife, Becky, and Steven Haynes and his wife, Rachel; four grandchildren, Chloe Marshall, Abcdee Marshall, Brair Marshall, Kacie Marshall Vass; three brothers, Billy Wright, Tommy Wright and his wife, Karen, and Michael Wright; several nieces and nephews; and a great-niece and great-nephew, Madison Wright and Sabashton Wright.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Atkins was preceded in death by three brothers, Gary Wright, Gregory Allen Wright, and Timmy Dale Wright.  A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. David Atkins officiating.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
