Carolyn Cockerham

Mrs. Carolyn Sue Hall Cockerham, age 69, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Monday March 15, 2021 at her home.  She was born on September 13, 1951 in Surry County to the late Herbert “Jim” Hall and Lucy Mae Sechrist Hall. Mrs. Cockerham worked as a folder for Professional Rental Services and was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.  Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Haley Cockerham of the home; sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Steve Hall; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Dale Hall and wife Sandy; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mose and Linda Cockerham; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Eva Sue Bell, Alene Cockerham, Kathy Ashburn and husband Wayne, Margaret Cockerham; special friend Mike Jones; special pet Lucky.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Cockerham was preceded in death by her step-mother, Mattie Mae Allen Hall.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Alton Bledsoe. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the church.  The family would like to send a special thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice and also Kindred at Home Health Care Service for all the care given to Mrs. Cockerham during her illness.   To send flowers to Carolyn's family, please visit our floral store.
