Carrie Mable Pike Mackey

Mrs. Carrie Mable Pike Mackey age 63 of 108 Intrigue Lane, Mt. Airy, NC widow of Mr. Ronald Mackey went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, January 18, 2008 at her home. She was born June 3, 1944 in Surry County to the late Elmer and Nancy Mae Pike. She was of Baptist faith and was a homemaker. Mrs. Mackey was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She lived her life selflessly helping others and she will be missed by all. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Una and Robert Hall, Mt. Airy, four grandchildren, Zachary Pike and Ashley Reece of the home, Jessica "Nikki" McBride, and fiance, Tim Gwyn, Mt. Airy and Chyna Mullins, Mt. Airy, two great grandchildren, Brittany McBride and Caitlinn McBride both of Mt. Airy, special friends, Lotus and Gene Keener, Janie Ladd Easter and Ricky Mullins all of Mt. Airy. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Mackey was preceded in death by a daughter, Vadie Pike Reece, infant sister, and three brothers, Warnie Pike, Wayne Pike and Odell Pike. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Chris McMillian. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.
