Cassie Lynn Jones Mooneyhan

Mrs. Cassie Lynn Jones Mooneyhan, 71, of Lambsburg, VA, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Mooneyhan was born August 11, 1936, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Robert Webster and Sarah Cassie Berrier Jones. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith and retired from Cross Creek Apparel. She is survived by her husband, Arnold Mooneyhan of the home; two sons, Ricky Mooneyhan and Gary Mooneyhan and special friend, Debbie Southern, all of Cana, VA; a daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Steven King of Deltona, FL; grandchildren, Sean Graham, Patrick Mooneyhan, Lauren Mooneyhan, Christopher Mooneyhan, Penny Chandler, Sarah Mooneyhan, and Brian Johns; great-grandchildren, Katie, Taylor, Julia Rose, and Megan; a sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and Bernie Waddell of Mt. Airy; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Lester and Betty Jean Jones and Gaye Jones, all of Cana, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mooneyhan was preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Mooneyhan; two sisters, Ruth Lyons and Lola Hall; and a brother, Howard Jones. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by Elder Ken Hopkins, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state one hour before the funeral service.
