Catherine Bowman

Mrs. Catherine Pack Bowman, 85, of Meadows of Dan, VA, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, October 5, 2020 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows in Laurel Fork, VA.  She was born in Patrick County on February 16, 1935 to the late Boss Patton Pack and Prince Ella Bowman Pack.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed.  Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary and David Helms, and Betty Jo Swartzel; her son and special friend, Mickey Pack and Diane Henderson; four grandchildren, Mike and Courtney Pack, Anna and Gordon Sitch, Christy Lynn Pack, and Jake and Taylor Helms; six great grandchildren, Levi, James, Jordan, Brandon, Keshia, Jennifer, and Baby Coltin on the way; three sisters, Rachel Hawks, Gracie Pack, and Nannie Fulp; a brother and two sisters-in-law, David and Geraldine Pack, and Doris Pack; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Bowman; and six brothers, Randy Pack, Arthur Pack, Ray Pack, Herbert Pack, Jimmy Pack, and Grady Pack.  The funeral service will be held at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Frank Harmon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Bowman family.
