Catherine Louise Boyd Creed

Mrs. Catherine Louise Boyd Creed, 72, formerly of East Pine Street, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Grace Healthcare of Winston-Salem. Mrs. Creed was born March 17, 1935, in Patrick County, VA, daughter of the late Edgar Ramey Boyd and Nettie Mae Marshall Boyd Hall. She was a homemaker. Surviving are two grandchildren, Holly Ann Marshall of Hillsville, VA, and Chelsey Megan Marshall of Greenwood, SC; and special friends, Michelle and James Pack of Ararat, VA, Pauline Bowman of Mount Airy, Debra and Ronnie Easter of Cana, VA, Crystal Easter of Cana, VA, Sharon and Harolos Larrowe of Hillsville, VA, Burton, Kenneth, and Roscoe Hensley and family of Mount Airy, and Richard and Robin Ellis of New Jersey; and many friends and neighbors. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Creed was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Clifton Marshall; her second husband, Columbus Creed; and a son, James Edgar Marshall. The funeral service will be held Tuesday March 11, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Billy Spurlin, and burial will follow in Combs-Campbell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
