Catherine Elaine Draughn

Mrs. Catherine Elaine Bowman Draughn, age 77, of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020, at Central Continuing Care.  Mrs. Draughn was born in Patrick County on January 4, 1943, to Perry and Mary Alice Harrell Bowman.  Among the many who will always cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Justin Draughn and wife Carolyne, Eden Draughn, Chrystal Reynolds and husband Harold, and Faith Draughn; great grandchildren, Kenyon Smith, Shai Smith, Keylon Smith, and Kaliyah Reynolds; great-great grandchildren, Aniyah Smith, Amari Smith, and Logan Draughn; a sister, Effie Sawyers, and a brother, Clyde Bowman.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Draughn was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Draughn; sons, Roger Draughn, Kenneth Draughn, Ronald Draughn, and Wade Draughn; sisters, Edith Sawyers, Etta Stanley and Teresa Stanley and brothers, Joe Bill Bowman, Malcomb Bowman, Marvin Bowman and Glenn Bowman.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
