Cathy Ann Holbrook

Mrs. Cathy Ann Jenkins Holbrook, age 59, of Thurmond, NC passed away on Wednesday December 16, 2020 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home.  She was born in Surry County on July 28, 1961 to the late Clyde William Jenkins and the late Ruby Faye Combs Jenkins.  She was a member of Gid Branch Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anita Groce and Loretta Jenkins; Surviving is her husband Bryce “Hammer” Holbrook; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Cameron Price; son, Caleb Holbrook; sisters and brother-in-law, Starlene “Star” and Tony Nelson, Glenda Lowe and James Simmons; brothers and sister-in-law, Jack Jenkins, Mike and Tina Jenkins; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Vetril Adams Holbrook; sister-in-law, Susie Holbrook. Cathy was loved by her husband, children, family and friends. She loved God and her family. Her favorite flower was a yellow rose and she loved baking for her family. Respecting the current limitations at this time (COVID-19), a funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 19, 2020, in the chapel of Gid Branch Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. James Hall will conduct the service, with Rev. Danny Royal conducting the graveside.  The family will not be holding a visitation due to Covid 19.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Gid Branch Baptist Church, 680 N. Old Hwy 21, Thurmond, NC 28683.  There will be no services held at the funeral home.
