Cecil Earl Bowman, Jr.

Mr. Cecil “Earl” Bowman, Jr.  65 of Mount Airy passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Atrium Health- Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Bowman was born on August 31, 1956, in Forsyth County to the late Cecil Earl Bowman, Sr. and Brenda Butcher Bowman.  Earl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 36 years, Kathy Marshall Bowman, children and spouses, Jamie Lyn Muldrow and Trent, Shannon Shelton and Jamie, Cecil Earl Bowman, III and Brandon, Joseph Tyrie Sherman Bowman and Wendy; grandchildren, Claire Campbell Muldrow, Vincent Oliver Osorno Bowman; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie Haynes and Rev. Rawley “Dink” Haynes, Kathy Hayes and Evangelist Tom Hayes; one brother and sister-in-law, Ricky James Bowman and Jane; several nieces and nephews, especially close Josh and Stephanie Johnson, and Amanda Johnson.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Kay “Dodie” Bowman.  A memorial service on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy.  Immediately following the service, a celebration of life will be held at the White Sulfur Springs Event Center in Mount Airy from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy North Carolina, 27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
