Mr. Cecil Ray Campbell, 85, of Pilot Mountain passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Campbell was born in Stokes County on June 12, 1937, to the late Leoma Guy and Lillie Hunt Campbell. He retired from Westinghouse and attended King Church of God. Mr. Campbell proudly served our country in the United States Army Reserves. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Collins Campbell; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Susan Campbell; grandchildren, Adam Campbell, Avery and Josh Campo, Yancy Campbell, Graham Campbell; a sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Robert Culler; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Anne Campbell, Clarence and Carolyn Campbell; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robbie Sizemore and Mr. Randy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Old Westfield Friends Meeting Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Services in Mt. Airy. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the love and care given to Cecil. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 1427 Edgewood Dr., Suite 101, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
