Cecil Roscoe Edwards

Mr. Cecil Roscoe Edwards, 58, of 112 Little Stream Trail, Mount Airy, left his earthly home early Saturday morning, November 7, 2015, to join his loved ones on the other side. Mr. Edwards was born July 24, 1957, in Surry County, one of ten children born to the late Jesse James and Viola McBride Edwards. Cecil worked at North Carolina Granite Corporation for many years and later retired from Renfro Corporation. He is survived by his loving family, Shelby (Jimmie) Bobbitt, Emma (Jody) Hutchens, Floyd (Billie Jo) Edwards, Patsy (James) Odum, Brent (June) Edwards, Ivan (Gena) Edwards, Bonnie (Tina) Edwards, and Linda Edwards; a host of nieces and nephews; and two aunts, Betty Scott and Gloria Snow. In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by three brothers, Harvey Jess Edwards, Raleigh James Edwards, Clay Eric Edwards; and a nephew, Harvey Lee Edwards. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 9, 2015, at 2:00 PM at McBride Cemetery, with Dr. David Sparks officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
