Channah Celine Day

Miss Channah Celine Day, 12, of Pilot Mountain, became an angel of God on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Little Channah was the love of her family's life and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her devoted mother, Denise Montgomery Day; a brother, Catlin Cox and his fiancee, Brandy Willard; sisters, Courteney Cox and Katie Day; her mema, Juanita Montgomery; an extra special nephew, Carson Cox; an uncle and aunt, Warren Montgomery, III and Tammy; cousins, Nicolas and Dillan Montgomery; godparents, Jerry and Carol Hardy; a lifelong doctor and friend, Dr. Kurt Klinepeter; and special friends, Tad and Hello Kitty. Little Channah was preceded in death by her grandfather, Warren H. "Sonny" Montgomery, Jr.; and her great-grandparents, Warren Montgomery, Sr. and Gertrude Montgomery and Arnold Leftwich, Sr. and Elma Leftwich. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, by the Rev. Rickey Spencer, the Rev. Buster Sechrist, Courteney Cox, and Dr. Kurt Klinepeter. Burial will follow in the Leftwich Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
